Canton Police Department's Investigative Units

Dispatch Center

Canton Public Safety's dispatch/communications center is staffed by Public Safety Service Officers (PSSO's) who perform the functions of call-takers and radio dispatchers.

Ordinance Enforcement Unit

Patrol Division

The Patrol Division makes up 70% of the department and primarily consists of the department's uniformed road patrol officers.

Records Bureau

The Records Bureau maintains police, fire and accident reports. Handgun permits, fingerprints and background checks are also processed by the Records Bureau.
