2. How do I contact the Canton Fire Department?

For all emergency situations, please contact the Canton Fire Department by calling 911.  If you are unable to call 911, you can text your emergency to 911. 

If you need a firefighter/paramedic to be dispatched to your home, but it is not an emergency, you can call dispatch at 734/394-5400 extension 0.

For all other inquiries and requests, contact Canton Fire Administration at 734/394-5455 or email at cantonfire-ems@cantonmi.gov. Please be advised that the administration phone line and email are not monitored 24/7.

3. How can I request a copy of a report?

Reports can be obtained through the Records Bureau.  Applicable fees may apply. Normal hours of operation are Monday-Thursday: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. For additional information click here.

4. What hospitals are patients transported to by the Canton Fire Department?

Paramedics transport to numerous area hospitals including Beaumont-Canton, Beaumont-Wayne, St. Mary's-Livonia, St. Joseph Mercy-Ann Arbor, Garden City Hospital, Henry Ford-Plymouth, Providence-Novi, and the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Patient requests are honored when possible.

5. How do I request a Fire Safety Talk at our school or business?

Educating children on the importance of fire safety can be informative and fun.  Call Canton Fire Department Administration at 734/394-5455 to request a Fire Safety Talk at your school or business. 

6. Does the Canton Fire Department assist with child car seat installation?

The Canton Fire Department will assist you with child car seat installation.  Contact the Canton Fire Administration at 734/394-5455 to set up an appointment with one of our Fire Inspectors.
